Silas held a poker game tonight. I loved to play poker when I was alive, so naturally I attended. Silas had the parlour set up decadently. As the guests arrived and were seated, I made myself comfortable among everyone, walking between players to see what their hands were.

At one point Silas had a flush, the best hand at the table from what I could see. Lewis had a three of a kind and everyone else was sitting on either a high card or nothing. I wanted to give Silas a sign that if he was going to go all in now was the time.

I touched one of the copper wires connected to the chandelier above the table, causing it to go out every time someone placed a bet. Everyone was confused, passing comments on why the lights went out every time a chip was placed down. Once came Silas’s turn, I left the light as is. Silas hesitantly placed a chip down looking around suspiciously. Samuel joked it was a sign and told him to throw another chip in. My plan was working. Silas placed his remaining chips in and successfully won the round. Some may say I allowed Silas to cheat, but what good is a ghost brother if he can’t pull a few strings.
